Editor,
The recent tragic event at Newtown, Conn. is deplorable. It possibly could have been prevented had those guns been locked up. I have heard nothing from TV news and commentary, nor letters to the editor, suggesting owners of firearms secure their arms in a locked safe.
It’s too late for the 26 victims of Newtown, but let’s close the barn door, now.
Those guns were legally purchased, but unsecured, even know the son had problems. It is sad beyond words for those 26 spirts who are gone from this world. But, because of our knowledge of the “hereafter,” they are in the warmth of our savior’s loving embrace.
God help us and give us guidance to survive is this very ugly world.
