Ogden Canyon reopens after Monday crash

OGDEN — Ogden Canyon reopened to regular traffic around 5 a.m. Tuesday.

The mouth of the canyon had been closed to everyone but canyon residents for most of the afternoon and night after a multiple-vehicle crash that knocked down a power line around 4 p.m. Monday, Weber County Sheriff’s Lt. Mark Lowther said.

Rocky Mountain Power worked through the night to replace the pole.

The crash occurred near the eastbound temporary traffic signal that protects an Ogden city culinary water project.
