Ogden man charged with abusing teen girl

FARMINGTON — A 38-year-old old Ogden man has been charged with sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl.

Clearfield police arrested Emilio Abeyta on Tuesday and booked him in Davis County Jail, where he is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.

He is scheduled to appear in 2nd District Court in Farmington on Friday.

He is charged with three counts of forcible sexual abuse, second-degree felonies; one count of sexual battery, a class A misdemeanor; lewdness, a class B misdemeanor; and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a class B misdemeanor.

Assistant Police Chief Mike Stenquist said the girl, who is now 17, reported the abuse in May 2012. Some of the abuse took place in Clearfield and some in Sunset.

According to the arrest warrant filed Jan. 2, the abuse began May 4, 2010, and continued until Dec. 31, 2011.

Abeyta is accused of giving the girl alcohol on at least one occasion. On several occasions he is accused of inappropriately touching her and forcing her to inappropriately touch him, after exposing himself to her.
