Farr West council seeking grant for project

FARR WEST -- RAMP grants will not pay for the purchase of property, according to Councilwoman Ava Painter.

Painter said the city considered applying for a RAMP grant to help with the cost of purchasing property for a future park, called North Park.

However, she has learned that the funds cannot be used this way, so the city will not be applying for the RAMP grant for that project.

Painter said she has been communicating with Plain City Councilwoman LaFray Kelley, who has helped her find other grants to potentially use for the project. Painter hopes to apply for those grants by March.
