Ogden School District to accept open enrollment applications

OGDEN -- The Ogden School District will begin accepting applications for open enrollment Monday.

“Open enrollment allows for a parent/guardian of a student in the OCSD to select a school other than the one that is located in their school boundary,” stated Cindy Quintana, secretary of Student Services in a news release.

Ben Lomond High School and Ogden High School will be the only schools accepting applications for the 2013-2014 school year.

“There are a couple of requirements for students to be transferred to their selected school,” OCSD spokeswoman Donna Corby stated in the release. “If the request is granted, parents are responsible for transportation and must agree to have their child attend that school for the entire school year.”

The open enrollment window is from Jan. 14 through Feb. 15. Applications are available on the OCSD website at www.ogdensd.org or in Room 106 of Building No.1 at 1950 Monroe Blvd. Call Quintana at 801-737-7290 with any questions.
