64-year-old Utah man guilty of stabbing, beating wife to death

SALT LAKE CITY -- A 64-year-old Utah man was found guilty of killing his wife in 2009.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports that a jury found Dennis Lambdin guilty of first-degree murder after five hours of deliberation Friday.

The jury concluded that Lambdin wasn’t in a strained mental state when he murdered his wife, 41-year-old Touch Choun. Lambdin acknowledged punching, stabbing and bludgeoning Choun during an argument in the kitchen of their Cottonwood Heights home in August 2009.

Defense attorneys say Lambdin has confessed to the murder more than 30 times since his arrest.

Lambdin is scheduled to be sentenced on March 4.
