EDEN -- A state snowplow truck struck an ambulance Friday afternoon on Powder Mountain Road near Eden, causing minor damage.
The accident happened about 2 p.m., said Weber County Sheriff's Cpl. Nealy Adams. The Weber Fire District ambulance was enroute to Powder Mountain Resort to handle a minor ski-related injury and was struck by the blade of the plow truck.
There were no injuries in the accident and Powder Mountain Road was closed for about an hour while the mishap was investigated and cleared.
There were also several vehicle slideoffs Friday on Powder Mountain Road and Trapper's Loop in the Ogden Valley, some of them involving skiers, said Adams.
"The state and county plow drivers did a good job (trying to keep road cleared) but there was so much snow," he said.
