E. Maurice Chipp

E. Maurice Chipp of Washington Terrace celebrated her 80th birthday surrounded by family and friends at a dinner and party in Clinton on Jan. 16.
She was born Jan. 7, 1933, in Kemmerer, Wyo., to Ted and Stella Roberts.
She married Willard A. Chipp on Oct. 19, 1952, in Kemmerer, Wyo., and they moved to Utah in 1955. He died April 23, 1989.
She has one brother and a sister: Edward Roberts Kemmerer, Wyo., and Gnell Roberts, who died many years ago.
She has four sons and daughters-in-law: John and Ruth Chipp, Bill and Wendy Chipp, Jere and Wendy Chipp, and Jim and Kelly Chipp. She has 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren with another one on the way.
She is an active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ogden, where she is involved with the women’s group. She enjoys helping others, attending exercise classes, and traveling on tours and cruises with family and friends. She has been to Europe, the Caribbean, Hawaii and Alaska.
