I-15 shut down after gas tanker explodes

SCIPIO -- A semi trailer carrying gasoline exploded in flames Sunday night on Interstate 15 near Scipio.

The Utah Highway Patrol says that a semi was pulling two trailers, one large and one small, when the small one caught fire around mile marker 202.

KSL-TV reports  that a call reporting a rollover and explosion came into Juab County officials about 7:30 p.m.

Crews contained the fire by 9:30 p.m. and prevented it from spreading to the larger tanker.

There was no immediate report of any injuries.
