PROVO -- Police say a 14-year-old boy has been arrested for allegedly using sixth-graders to traffic drugs for him.
Police say School Resource Officer Dan Smith was tipped off to the Centennial Middle School student's activities last Monday.
Authorities were told the teen would meet sixth-graders in front of Franklin Elementary School and give them money to buy drugs from an unknown location. Police say the younger students would then buy the drugs and bring them back to the teen.
The suspect allegedly paid the younger students with a portion of the drugs.
Police say the 14-year-old was arrested on suspicion of felony distribution and child endangerment.
Officials say they're still investigating and hope to arrest the person who sold the drugs to the children.
