PARK CITY -- Canon U.S.A. Inc. announced on Tuesday that it will support the Sundance Institute as a Sustaining Sponsor of the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.
The festival, which takes places in Park City and in several venues along the Wasatch Front, from Jan. 17 to 27, is the premier showcase of independent film. Along with feature length movies, it presents documentaries, short films, installations, performances, panel discussions and music events. The annual attendance is estimated to be about 50,000 people.
Several of the movies at the festival were shot using Canon products, including "The Crash Reel," "Life According to Sam" and "A River Changes Courses."
During the festival, Canon will present "Canon Spotlights Cinematography" at the New Frontier Microcinema from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 21 at The Yard, 1251 Kearns Blvd., Park City.
