CLINTON -- Two trucks caught fire Tuesday morning causing minor damage to a home in Clinton.
The blaze occurred at 2108 W. 1370 North. A passerby spotted the flames from 2000 West and called 911.
Clinton Fire Chief Dave Olsen said the cause is undetermined and the fire is still under investigation.
A man inside a home had gone out and moved a 1991 Chevy truck from the road and put it in the driveway next to a 2004 Nissan truck.
Twenty minutes after he left for work, his wife called him to say the truck was on fire, Olsen said.
The fire was so intense, it started the Nissan truck on fire. By the time firefighters arrived both trucks were in flames, which threatened the house. Fire crews were able to get the fire out and all six people in the home were safely evacuated. They were not displaced by the fire.
Estimated damage to the trucks totals $35,000, said Olsen. There was also slight damage to the house.
Sunset, Syracuse and North Davis Fire District assisted in putting out the fire.
