UINTAH -- A man died Tuesday after suffering an apparent medical episode that resulted in a car crash.
The accident happened around 3:30 p.m. near the intersection of U.S. 89 and Combe Road in Uintah, said Weber County Sheriff's Lt. Mark Lowther.
An 89-year-old man from Weber County, driving an SUV, veered off the roadway and struck a highway barrier. Two nurses saw the accident and found the man unresponsive, Lowther said.
The man, who wasn't identified, was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
"We believe he had a medical episode that caused the accident and his death," said Lowther.
