WEST WENDOVER, Nev. -- A 37-year-old Nevada man wanted for an alleged sexual assault in West Wendover more than 15 years ago has been arrested thanks to an anonymous tip to police that the suspect was back in the town on the Utah line.
West Wendover police say Eleno Carrillo was 22 years old when he and another man were arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a woman in June 1997.
Sgt. David Wiskerchen told the Elko Daily Free Press authorities don't know where he's been since then. He was ordered at a Jan. 4 preliminary hearing to stand trial and is being held on $10,000 bail. He hasn't entered a plea yet.
Wiskerchen says they have no leads on the location of the other suspect, 42-year-old Nestor Mendoza of West Wendover.
