OGDEN -- The rematch produced a similar result, but the Scots gave the Tigers all they could handle on Thursday night.
A month ago, Ogden topped Ben Lomond 42-19 at Ben Lomond High. Thursday, the Tigers worked hard to score 42 points again, earning hard-fought 42-34 victory.
" I am pretty impressed with their improvement, especially on the defensive end," Ogden coach Rob McGill said of the Scots. "Amy Ulrich and Nikki Thompson played well for us tonight. They kept us in the game when our offense wasn't clicking."
The Tigers led 14-13 at the half, then built the lead to as many as 10 in the second half. The Scots made several runs, but Ogden answered each time.
"I told the kids that I was impressed with them making the adjustments as Ben Lomond made their runs," McGill said. "We got better at that down the stretch."
