SALT LAKE CITY – Guns Across America announces the three speakers who will take part in Gun Appreciation Day on Saturday, January 19, 2013 on the south steps of the Utah State Capitol. The event begins at noon and organizers expect it to draw more than 3,000.
Here are the speakers:
Candace Salima
Talk Show Host, Author, Public Speaker. Candace remembers the stories her
father told about the Nazis goosestepping into Amsertdam and nearly destroying
her family. Most of all, she remembers the promise he made her keep. “Protect
America, Candace. Do not let what happened in Europe happen here.”
W. Clark Aposhian
NRA certified trainer, Chief range safety officer, Tae Kwon Do black belt,
Chairman of the USSC and most importantly to you and me, Utah State registered
lobbyist for firearms and self-defense laws. He is considered, along with Mitch Vilos and Curt
Oda, part of the "Big Three of Utah Gun Rights."
Brian Greene
Utah House representative from District 57. When tragedy struck Newton, Conn., he put together a bill that will
now exempt Utah citizens from the restrictions of President Obama’s
executive actions.
An opening prayer will be given by Pastor Robert Brooks of the Victory Baptist Church of Orem, Utah.
