James Arlo and Eva Jean Prince Lindsay of Layton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
They were married Jan. 13, 1963, in Longview, Texas. Their vows were solemnized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Los Angeles Temple on Jan. 19, 1963.
He grew up on a family farm in Mountain Home. He is a retired master electrician and enjoyed working with his sons in the family business.
She grew up in Longview, Texas. A mother of six children, she also worked at various jobs throughout the years.
They have served in many missions for the LDS Church: Ogden Inner-city Mission for two years, Ogden Temple for 27 months, and they recently returned from a two-year mission in the Manila Philippines Temple.
They have six children, 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Their children and spouses are Rhonda and Collin Larsen, Cynthia Jenkins-Richins and Bart Richins, Karen and B. Matt Francis, Jim and Valentina Lindsay, David and Michelle Lindsay, and Janice and Stacy Younger. They say they have been blessed with their family and look forward to many more years to come.
