U.S. media simply a 'soap opera Goliath'

Editor,

Let’s see, there’s climate change, the U.S. military “pivot” to Asia, the national deficit, not to mention the overall decline and almost certain death of the rule of law in the American republic. But the mainstream print and electronic media can think of nothing else to report for the past several weeks than a college football player’s fake long-distance girlfriend.

The greatest nation in the world has turned into a soap opera Goliath, and, as the good book says, “My people love to have it so.” The United States of America doesn’t deserve its blessings anymore. And guess what? From all indications, it doesn’t have very many more left to it.
