LAYTON -- City staff were honored at a recent meeting with yearly service awards.
The awards recognize years of service on five-year increments. Employees with at least 20 years of service were formally honored during a city council meeting while other employees were honored in their individual departments.
Julie Arguello, a 25-year employee of the Community & Economic Development Department, topped the honorees. Employees with 20 years of service included: Michael Adams, Jason Cook, Daniel Ramos and Bradley Wilkes of the fire department, John Holden and Penny Falkner of the police department and James Mason, assistant city manager.
Employees honored for 15 years of service included Nathan Nance of the fire department, Natalie Flint, Amanda Myers and James Rochester of parks and recreation, and Jaydell Jaques and Curt King of public works.
Ten-year honorees include Kem Weaver of community & economic development, Roxanne Bauman and Cyle Hall of the fire department, Jolynn Atkinson of management services, David Price of parks and recreation, and Mark Bauer of public works.
Employees who were honored for five years of service included Kerry Gumbrecht of community & economic development, Theresa Craynor of finance, Brandon Anderson, William Elson and Austin Taylor of fire, Clinton Drake of the legal department, Joshua Dukes of parks & recreation, Alexander Davis, Carin Griggs, Sara Langford, Kaye Pingree, Kelly Rushton and Janita Searle of the police department and Michael Calarino, Rodney Jaques and Drew Schmidt of public works.
