OGDEN -- A man has been arrested by Ogden police for allegedly using a weapon to hold his girlfriend against her will.
Zachery Scott Allen, 31, was booked Wednesday night into Weber County Jail on suspicion of aggravated kidnapping, possession of a firearm by a restricted person and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Around 5 p.m. Wednesday, Allen went to his girlfriend's apartment in the 2400 block of Monroe Boulevard and got into an argument with her, Lt. Chad Ledford said. Allen ordered the woman to leave the apartment with him, and she refused.
Allen then reached into a backpack and pulled out a handgun, pointed it at her and told her to come with him, Ledford said.
"He said, 'If you don't come with me, I'm going to kill you,' " Ledford said.
The incident was witnessed by the woman's roommate and other tenants of the apartment complex, Ledford said.
Allen forcefully removed his girlfriend from the apartment and left. The woman's girlfriend then called police.
Allen was apprehended at his apartment on 2400 block of Madison Boulevard. It was later determined that the weapon Allen had used was a BB gun that looked like a handgun, Ledford said. Allen's girlfriend was uninjured.
