Editor,
With two or more articles in the Standard regarding budget cuts to military and our readiness; one of them just under an article about N.Korea and their ability and readiness to attack us by missiles, and their willingness to “teach us a lesson” if we interfere in their nuclear tests, I have a couple of questions (Jan. 24, “N. Korea warns U.S.,” and “Military orders budget cuts”).
Why is Obama sending all our money to foreign lands instead of beefing up our defense? Why is he breaking our backs with budgets, and spending millions on disarming our citizens from the military on down? He ought to thank the public for their willingness to help protect this country.
Obama should keep the money home where it belongs, keep our country strong, and quit talking nonsense instead of answering the direct questions put to him! Maybe he wants to be under the control of N. Korea or China. I don’t. This is the United States of America, keep it that way. Keep our borders intact.
Disarming the public will not do that, ask the people on our southern border.
They have an enormous fight on their hands. If he is willing to arm our neighbors better that he will allow us to be armed, beware.
