North Ogden can skip RMP to get light poles fixed

NORTH OGDEN — The city will no longer contact Rocky Mountain Power when it needs extra help to repair lights.

City officials say they have permission from RMP to go directly to the contractor for the repair.

Only occasionally does the city need help from an outside source for repairs.

However, the city will slowly start to switch to different power boxes on the light poles.

The city will also be looking at costs to change to LED power lights.

The changes come after some neighborhoods have waited six months or longer to have street lights repaired.
