Speaking of ‘reality check’ mentioned by of the Jan. 26 letter, “Reality check: The U.S. government won’t be outgunned,” the letter writer and his friend need one. The letter writer’s friend fantasizes about annihilating Americans with his F-16. Does this pilot think that all he has to do is strafe a bunch of sitting ducks carrying NRA signs, and when they run inside their houses, circle around and nail them with a Maverick missile? Please grow up!
How many women and children will have been killed at this point? What will be next, buildings, cities and streets? How does this pilot think other Americans would take this and how does he know that his wingman won’t be able to gut what he is seeing and fire upon him? We all hope these awful things (Americans fighting Americans) will never happen in America, but if it ever does, I highly doubt that it’s going to be as fun, simple, and easy as the letter writer and his friend make it out to be. Talk about “crazy fellow citizens!”
