OGDEN -- The OUTreach Resource Center for lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, and transgender youth will hold a community forum tonight to encourage discussion on marriage equality, including same-sex marriage.
The forum will be at the Weber County Main Library, 2464 Jefferson Ave., at
7 p.m. An expert panel will present information and take questions.
The panel includes Jamila Tharp, her wife Michelle Hastings and their daughter Abigail, Utah leaders of Marriage Equality USA; Allison Black, president of Ogden PFLAG and mother of an engaged gay son; Shane Marx, Esq., attorney with Lauren Barros Law; the Rev. Rob Trujillo, his husband Mark Dexheimer and their son Dillan; Jolene Abbott and Colleen Mewing, an engaged couple and administrators of the Utah group Older, Wiser Lesbians (OWLS); Mark May, recent BYU graduate and Kevin Northrup, a student at BYU and University of Utah; and Cache Burlingame, an Ogden High School student.
The panel will be moderated by Dr. Barry Gomberg, director of Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity at Weber State University.
