Old steel mill building burns in Lindon

LINDON -- Authorities have spent the early morning fighting a fire at a former steel mill in Lindon.

Dispatchers say the fire was reported about 4:40 a.m. Wednesday on State Street near 450 North.

KSL reports the blaze may have started in the middle of the Patch's Majestic Metals building, which the owner had been using for furniture storage.

The station says an attached house and warehouse also caught fire, but no injuries have been reported.

Lindon Police Chief Cody Cullimore tells The Salt Lake Tribune roofs had collapsed and the structure would likely be a total loss.
