Terrace city manager receives ICMA credential

WASHINGTON TERRACE — City Manager Thomas Hanson recently received the Credentialed Manager designation from the International City/County Management Association.

Hanson is one of 14 professionals in Utah currently credentialed through the ICMA Voluntary Credentialing Program.

ICMA’s mission is to create excellence in local governance by promoting professional management worldwide and increasing the proficiency of appointed chief administrative officers, assistant administrators, and other employees who serve local governments and regional entities around the world.

Hanson has more than 12 years of professional, local government executive experience. Prior to his appointment in 2010 as city manager of Washington Terrace, he served as assistant city manager for West Point city and was the parks and recreation director for Roy city.
