16 Utah couples to marry on Ferris wheel

SANDY — Sixteen Utah couples plan to get married on Valentine’s Day while riding a Ferris wheel at Scheels sporting goods store in Sandy.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports that radio station K-Bull 93 selected the couples who submitted the best stories of love and devotion.

Murray mayor Dan Snarr will lead the ceremonies. Snarr is a specialist in conducting oddball weddings. He’s done ceremonies on a motorcycle, trampoline and in a haunted house.

The ceremony is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. The Scheels store opened in Sandy in the fall of 2012.
