MURRAY — A driver has been taken to the hospital after his SUV was struck by a TRAX train in Murray.
Utah Transit Authority spokesman Chad Saley says the crash happened a little after 8 a.m. Tuesday at 5900 South.
Saley says the driver was in a left turn lane at a red light and apparently tried to make his left turn on red as soon as the through traffic went forward on a green light.
Saley says the SUV drove into the path of the train on the tracks parallel to the road.
The back of the SUV was struck, but Saley says the driver was walking around after the crash and appears to have only minor injuries.
The crash caused delays on the train line.
