OGDEN -- Police on Tuesday arrested a man wanted in connection with cashing counterfeit checks.
Jerod A. Young, 35, had an arrest warrant out of South Ogden for three second-degree felony counts of forgery, stemming from charges dating back to November, said Ogden Police Lt. Chad Ledford.
Young is accused of passing counterfeit checks at America First Credit Union branches in Weber County.
Ledford said it is estimated Young passed about $9,000 in bad checks. South Ogden issued the warrant Feb. 1.
Ogden police got word that Young was staying in the 800 block of 16th Street.
When officers arrived, they found him riding a bicycle.
Police stopped him, arrested him and took him to Weber County Jail.
