FARMINGTON -- Police are investigating the Wednesday robbery of Zions Bank in Farmington.

Police were summoned to the bank near the intersection of Somerset Street and Main Street around 5:55 p.m., said Farmington Police Chief Wayne Hansen.

A man told a teller to fill a bag with money and then fled from the bank. He didn't show a weapon, Hansen said.

Witnesses reported the robber left the bank in a tan-colored sedan. Witnesses also told police the same car was spotted in a subdivision before the robbery. A police K-9 unit tracked the suspect's scent from the bank to the neighborhood, but the car was not there.
