OGDEN -- A preliminary hearing has been set for a 29-year-old man charged in the death of Arline H. Logan.
Sean Reed Stephens-Applonie, of Kaysville, appeared in 2nd District Court in Ogden on Wednesday. He is charged with negligent homicide, a class A misdemeanor.
The preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 20. The charges were filed Jan. 23.
Applonie was driving an ambulance west on U.S. 89 on July 6 with its lights and siren operating when a white Buick heading south on Sunset entered the intersection on a green light and was struck by the ambulance, South Ogden police said. After hitting the Buick, the ambulance then struck both a Toyota Corolla and a Toyota Camry.
Logan, 88, died in the four-vehicle accident that also injured six other people.
