PLEASANT VIEW -- Police Officer Corey Clark was recently honored for reaching his Master Officer ranking.
Police Chief Scott Jackson said he asked Clark to put together the Master Officer Program around seven years ago, and he accomplished that.
Jackson said there were only two other officers including himself that would qualify to be a Master Officer, but they reached that status prior to the actual program being created.
“He went above and beyond, and took on other responsibilities,” said Jackson of Clark.
Sgt. Jerry Anderson said Clark had put great detail into the Master Program, and said being a Master Officer is not something a police officer can accomplish in one month or even one year. He said at the bare minimum is at least five years.
Clark received a Master Officer’s patch, pin and certificate.
