HILL AIR FORCE BASE — Col. Sarah E. Zabel, former commander of Hill Air Force Base’s 75th Air Base Wing, has received a new assignment.
Zabel has been assigned to be the director of the Air Force’s Communications and Cyber Systems Command at Scott Air Force Base, Ill.
With the new job, Zabel will be promoted to the rank of brigadier general.
It had been announced earlier that Zabel would be the special assistant to the commander, Air Force Sustainment Center at Tinker Air Force Base, Okla.
She commanded the Air Base Wing at Hill from June 2011 to January 2013.
