-- Utah's poet laureate, Lance Larsen, reads selections of his work at Weber State University on Monday, Feb. 25.
The reading starts at 4 p.m. in the Elizabeth Hall Eccles Lecture Hall, on the Ogden campus at 3848 Harrison Blvd. Admission is free.
Larsen, who teaches literature and creative writing at Brigham Young University, was selected Utah Poet Laureate in 2012. His latest collection of poems, "Genius Loci," was published that same year by the University of Tampa Press. He will sign copies of his books at the reading.

-- Weber County Library hosts two book discussions this week. "Remarkable Creatures" by Tracy Chevalier will be discussed at 7 p.m. Thursday at Pleasant Valley branch, 5568 Adams Avenue, Washington Terrace. "Ines of My Soul" by Isabel Allende will be discussed at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the main library, 2464 Jefferson Ave., Ogden. These are free events and books will be available at the reference desks.
