Adele Ray Koziar of South Ogden will celebrate her 90th birthday. Family and friends may greet her at an open house hosted by her family in her honor from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints South Weber 5th Ward, 2620 E. 8200 South, (just off the South Weber exit on Highway 89; use the frontage road).
She was born in Layton on March 3, 1923, to Raymond and Mattie Ray. She married Myron Lish Koziar. He is now deceased. Her children are LaRae and (Renoldo deceased) Harper, Michael Ray and Cindy Koziar, and Robin Ray Stark. She has seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family.
She has been associated with the real estate profession since 1965. She has had a real estate license for those 48 years and still has one today. She has owned the following companies: Ray Realty, Koziar and Co., and was one of the original owners of the Franklin Group, celebrating its 20 years in business this year.
Throughout her career, she has enjoyed many opportunities. She was the first female president of the Ogden Board of Realtors, now known as the Northern Wasatch Association of Realtors. She started the first chapter in Ogden of the Women’s Council of Realtors and was chapter president, state president and regional representative for the area. She has enjoyed her many years in the real estate profession and all the friends she has met. Her motto to follow has always been “Be nice!”
