Annabel Martin Baker of Farr West celebrated her 85th birthday with family.
She was born on Feb. 17, 1928, in Ogden to Wilford and Edith Martin.
She married Earl E. Baker on March 18, 1946, in Ogden. Their vows were solemnized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple on March 9, 1949.
She is an Ogden High School graduate. She has spent most of her married life in Farr West, raising her family. She also lived in Ogden, Yost, Clearfield and Weston, Idaho.
She is active in the LDS Church and has served in Primary as a teacher and Primary president, in the Relief Society as a teacher, work day director and visiting teacher. She served in the Canada Halifax LDS Mission with her husband, teaching genealogy. She has also served a stake mission and as a ward missionary. She has enjoyed knitting and crocheting sweaters, baby dresses, booties, socks and slippers for many people. She enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Her children and their spouses are Mary (deceased) and Lee Black, Cathlene and Brad Smith, Bill and Ruth Baker, Gwenn and Les Miller, and Glenn Baker. She has 16 grandchildren (two of whom are deceased), and 27 great-grandchildren (one of whom is deceased).
