Gordon and Doreen Christensen of Ogden will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary.
They were married on Feb. 26, 1953, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Idaho Falls Temple.
He is a 1961 graduate of Brigham Young University and served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Weber Basin and Weber County as a school bus driver for 16 years. Active in the LDS Church, he served in many positions.
She is a graduate of Firth High School, and attended Ricks College and Weber State College. She had a diet center for many years. She has been an active member of the LDS Church. She has also been a stay-at-home mom.
They served LDS missions to Chicago and Charleston, W.V. Currently they are hosts at the LDS Conference Center in Salt Lake City.
Their children and spouses are James and Vali Christensen, Maryann and David Anderson, and David Christensen. Deceased: Susan Christensen, Gordon Ray Christensen, Larry Christensen and Gary Christensen. They have 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. One grandson is deceased.
