N. Ogden accident knocks out power to 2,000

A power outage that left nearly 2,000 customers in North Ogden and Pleasant View without power for around one and a half hours Sunday night was caused by a traffic accident at 2197 N. 400 East, North Ogden.

Rocky Mountain Power spokesman Jeff Hymas said a vehicle hit a power pole and knocked it out of commission just before 8 p.m.

Crews were working to replace the pole Sunday night.

Power was resotred at 9:34 p.m. on Sunday.
