As of the first of March, the sequester will take place unless those representatives in Washington get their stuff together and do what they are getting paid to do, which is work for the good of the country and its citizens and not their party or pocketbooks. The nation's security is at risk, and the fact that the economy will take a big hit is asinine seeing how it's been teetering at the edge and could fall at anytime unless politicians do their jobs.
Unless those in both parties get to work and move the country forward instead of back stabbing each other like school children, they should forfeit their pay until such time that they do what is right for the nation and its citizenry. And, they should keep this in mind, no one in Congress is untouchable. They were voted in, and they can and will be voted out. And that goes for those who have been there, it seems, since the beginning of time. The business of the country and its citizens should come first and foremost, and if they don't do what they are getting wel- compensated to do, then they will be seeing what can and will happen in the 2014 elections to Congress. And, I don't mean to put a band-aid on the problems at hand, but fix them once and for all.
Our vote is our voice, let's get out there and let them hear us loud and clear.
