KAYSVILLE -- Police have identified the 33-year-old bank robbery suspect who led them on a high-speed chase on Interstate 15 through three Utah counties.
Troopers say the chase started about 4 p.m. Monday in Lehi when officers approached Brett Max Knight, who was suspected in the Friday robbery of a Chase bank in Draper.
Police say the Utah County resident took off in a pickup truck at speeds of up to 110 mph.
Officials were eventually able to stop the truck after spiking the tires in Salt Lake County and performing a maneuver with a police vehicle later in Davis County.
Department of Public Safety spokesman Dwayne Baird says the man got out of the truck and raised his gun to the officers who had surrounded him.
Authorities say officers fired on him, and he was later pronounced dead.
