Schools shouldn't run electric signs 24/7

Feb 26 2013 - 3:15pm

As of late, I have noticed the signs at the Davis County schools. The electric signs run 24/7. The school district, in efforts to save money, has had to furlough its employees at least one to two days a year. I think that while the signs are useful, I feel they should be turned off at possibly 8 p.m. every night and turned on at 8 a.m. in the morning. They should not be turned on at all on the weekends.

I think that there are enough signs in the school district, and monies could be used elsewhere.
