My God is the same as that of the writer of the Feb. 23 letter, "Reader's god loves mankind." My god also loves everyone regardless of ethnicity, race, religious beliefs or non-beliefs. However, mine differs in a significant way. While he loves me unconditionally, he does not condone any of my actions that are contrary to his laws, especially if engaged in willfully! The savior, yours and mine, did express love for the woman taken in adultery by not condemning her, however, he did not forgive her; in fact, he admonished her "to go and sin no more."
There are those among us who in their self-serving wisdom decide to partake of a moral smorgasbord, determining which laws they like and which they would rather do without. There are absolute laws. We have the choice as to whether or not to abide by them, but in so doing, we also choose the consequences. We cannot go forever circumventing such laws without eventually paying the price for doing so. ".... the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works."
Each of us is writing his/her own book.
