Patio covers can fit all budgets

Patio covers come in all shapes and sizes and there are financing options so people can fit them into their budgets. Aluminum Builders offers awnings and patio covers.
In Utah, many people like the pergola look, and many different types are available to choose from, said Justin Johnson with Aluminum Builders.
A traditional pergola shades an area, but often lets in the snow and rain. To accommodate the seasons in the Beehive State, pergolas are available with a solid patio cover. They come in the form of a dress-up kit, so it has the look of a pergola but provides full coverage.
“It is something a little more aesthetically pleasing to cover a cement patch or deck,” Johnson said.
The covers are available for whatever size a client wants, Johnson said. A customer can get a typical patio cover for $2,000 to $3,000, and one-day installation is available year-round, unless it is rainy or snowy.
“If it’s cold and dry, it’s no problem,” Johnson said.
Outdoor rooms have become very popular, and patio enclosures have moved with the times. It’s possible to go from a minimal enclosure to a full enclosure, including walls and heat, so the outdoor room can be enjoyed year-round. Johnson said homeowners often want to put a hot tub under their patio cover, so it makes sense to get a full enclosure for warmth.
“Winter is the time when people like to use their hot tubs, so it makes sense,” he said. A hot tub and patio enclosure “really complement each other.”
Aluminum Builders is now offer financing for as low as 5.99 percent, which is convenient for customers, because they can finance a nice patio enclosure or room for as little as $40 per month.
“The economy is improving,” Johnson said, “So businesses are offering credit a lot more.”
