OGDEN -- Snowbasin ski resort recently donated $10,000 worth of lift tickets to the Community Foundation of Ogden Valley.

According to a news release, the donation will go toward fundraising for 16 nonprofit organizations that serve Weber County.

"Snowbasin's generous gift has brought a new level of success and energy to the nonprofit groups," said the foundation's chairman, Steve Clarke, in the release. "The Community Foundation applauds Snowbasin's effort to grow community spirit and meet the many worthy needs of those who love the Ogden Valley."

According to its website, the foundation's work is centered on helping local nonprofit organizations reach their goals.

Local parent-teacher-student organizations are among the beneficiaries of the donation, Clarke said in the release.

"Our Snowbasin management team has been impressed by the goals and causes represented by the nonprofit groups which work with the Community Foundation, and we are pleased to contribute to their success," said Snowbasin General Manager John Loomis in the release.
