Jeanne Griffin Gallegos of Sunset celebrated her 80th birthday with an open house at her home on Saturday, March 2.
She was born March 6, 1933, in Ogden to Wanda Garner Griffin and Ray Griffin. She married Louis M. Gallegos on Sept. 13, 1952, in Weber County.
She graduated from Morgan High School and has lived in Sunset most of her married life.
She attends church at St. Rose of Lima in Layton, where she was previously active with the Council of Catholic Women.
She has enjoyed quilting and donating her quilts for specific fundraisers. She has worked in the fabric departments of Walmart and Ben Franklin.
Their children and spouses are Tom Gallegos (deceased), Elaine and Jim Tharp, Faye Burns, Gloria and Eldon Messersmith, Dan and Lori Gallegos, Marie Gallegos, and Dean and Jenn Gallegos.
