I'm writing regarding the Mar. 3 guest commentary by Rep. Brad Dee, "Revised revenue growth estimates----what does it mean for Utah?" With the ongoing cost to our state employee health of an additional $80 million per year and this forecast of your dismal future, their needs to be discussions about reducing state employee' health and retirement benefits by 25 percent.
Show the public that state employees care! State employees have the option of finding work elsewhere. How many state employees are currently underpaid based on private employee standards?
Please produce solutions and stop complaining.
