Crazy videos, geeky pleasures and a few amazing movies are the topics of our newest installment of Trending With TX.
Lately, everywhere you turn you'll hear the words "Con los terroristas!"
"The Harlem Shake" is sweeping the globe right now, similar to Psy's "Gangnam Style," and the Spanish phrase meaning "with the terrorists" is its signature line. The dance craze began with a wacky YouTube star, DizastaMusic, wildly dancing in a pink body suit to the song "Harlem Shake" by Baauer. In the few days following the upload of his video, thousands of people copied the video, each one being more ridiculous than the last.
The most insane "Harlem Shake" video out there has to be the skydiving edition filmed by Red Bull. But everyone from friends sitting around in their room, to huge businesses have been making "Harlem Shake" videos.
Before "The Harlem Shake" exits its 15 minutes of fame, film your own video too!

From date nights to girls' nights, there are a few movies that I have found to be the most popular this month.
If you are looking for a hilarious night out, I recommend seeing "Identity Thief," starring Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy. With a witty and quite odd story line, this movie will keep you laughing and holding on tighter to your credit cards.
If you want a scary, cuddle-up-to-your-crush, or in my case almost-break-his-arm-when-you-freak-out movie, then I would recommend seeing "Mama." This horror film has a twisted story line that will keep you guessing, but it's definitely worth the tense anticipation.
If you're craving a girls' night out cry session, you will absolutely fall in love with "Safe Haven." This is such a powerful movie that grabs everyone's attention and has you hoping for the ending to turn out happily. After seeing "Safe Haven," I can honestly say it is now one of my all-time favorites.

"Sherlock," "Game of Thrones," "Doctor Who," "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Walking Dead." Sound familiar? These are all popular geek "fandoms!"
But what is a fandom? I'll tell you! A fandom is a world or story created that people can fall in love with. So, almost anything could be a fandom.
I for one, am now a "member" of the "The Lord of the Rings" fandom. With "The Hobbit" film coming out last December, many others are joining the LOTR fandom too. I first got interested when I saw the movie "The Fellowship of the Ring." After that, I began to read the books and really enjoy the world that J.R.R. Tolkien created.
If you want to become a member of these fandoms, there are hundreds of blogs and online places like Pinterest where you can find out all the details of your chosen interest.
I think the best part about fandoms is that they are an escape from the real world and they kind of give people something to believe in. I may be called a geek for being part of a fandom, but I really enjoy it!
