3 arrested for randomly shooting cars in SLC

SALT LAKE CITY — Police say they’ve arrested three people after several shots were fired into cars in a Salt Lake City neighborhood.

Authorities say an off-duty officer’s police car ended up with bullet holes after the incident about 11 p.m. Wednesday near 1200 W. Indiana Avenue.

Police tell KSL they responded to reports of gunshots and found at least seven shots had been fired, including several .40-caliber bullets that had struck two vehicles in the neighborhood.

Authorities say they found the suspect vehicle and arrested 20-year-old Peter Ramirez, 22-year-old Beatriz Andrade, and 18-year-old Mark Garcia on felony charges.
