Carl and Ora Clayton of Sunset will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary at a gathering with family and friends on March 15.
High school sweethearts, they were married on March 18, 1953, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He was raised in Salt Lake City and Clearfield. He served in the U.S. Air Force and graduated from Brigham Young University. He retired after more than 30 years of teaching and coaching at North Davis Junior High School.
She was raised on her family's farm in Bountiful. She worked for Marquart Inc., Federal Building & Loan Association, and retired from Sunset City Corp., where she was city treasurer and recorder.
Members of the LDS Church, they have served in many callings.
Their children and spouses are Joseph and Robin Driggs, and Jonathan and Rainee Browning. They have 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
