Hill AFB employees work hard support workload

Editor,

In response to the letter of March 8, “Plenty of wasteful spending at Hill AFB” that implies wasteful spending at Hill AFB. I work at Hill AFB and I am a customer in the area about which the letter writer is complaining. She does not work in that area or Hill AFB, so I’m not sure where her information is coming from. I am proud to be a civil service employee and we keep our insurance policy, InterContinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) fleet working. I have never seen anyone in that office or area she is speaking of sitting around and not performing the jobs assigned. I have worked with them in support of our mission for years now and see them almost every day performing a great job and supporting our workload.

As  civil service employees, folks may think we sit around doing nothing. That is so far from the truth. Everyone I know or see at Hill AFB is working hard and it is time folks realize this and not buy into someone’s venting for whatever reason.
